Miami Mayor Francis Suarez runs for US President in 2024, supporting Bitcoin.
The mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez, who is known for supporting the use of cryptocurrencies, has filed paperwork indicating his intention to run for the presidency of the United States in 2024.
He will join former U.S. President Donald Trump and fellow Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is another advocate of Bitcoin (BTC), in competing to win the Republican presidential nomination.
According to documents released by the U.S. Federal Election Commission, Suarez officially submitted the paperwork on June 14.

Suarez is scheduled to speak at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, on June 16, where he is expected to discuss his presidential plans in more detail.

In June 2022, Suarez stated that Bitcoin can become a global currency and has accepted his salary in Bitcoin in the past.
Suarez was also involved in “MiamiCoin” in January 2022, a program that allows Miami residents to purchase cryptocurrency through a digital wallet and receive a Bitcoin dividend.
