Enjin forks Polkadot parachain Efinity to new mainnet for NFT platform.

Enjin, a platform for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has announced its move to a new mainnet called Enjin Blockchain, with the goal of promoting the adoption of Web3. Efinity, its Polkadot parachain, has been forked to the new blockchain after the transition. Enjin has stated that Enjin Blockchain will be different from other blockchain solutions that rely on smart contracts, as features like creating and transferring NFTs will be integrated into the foundational code of the blockchain. The blockchain also includes new features, such as Fuel Tanks, which allow developers to subsidize user transaction fees, and Discrete Accounts, which enable users to interact with blockchain projects without downloading specific wallet software. Efinity has also been forked to the new mainnet, which will be called the Efinity Matrixchain and will support a transition for existing users. According to Enjin’s co-founder and CTO, Witek Radomski, the Enjin Blockchain aims to support creativity by making it easier and more affordable for anyone to create and distribute NFTs. Enjin’s CFO, Oscar Franklin Tan, believes that NFTs and digital ownership will be the cornerstone for the next wave of gaming, fueled by developments in AI, AR, and VR. Paraspace, an NFT protocol, has also highlighted the success of using blue-chip NFTs as collateral in stabilizing NFT lending.
